Hi my name is Tracy, begin your journey into goat keeping with me!

 

I began keeping goats almost 10 years ago and have learned an extraordinary amount — often the hard way. I’ve suffered losses I wish I could go back and prevent, but every mistake has taught me something. And the good news? There are far more highs than lows.

 

I’ve been sharing my stories on social media for years. Then, last year, I began a Facebook group called 'Goat as Pets UK'

Firstly, I never realised how many people actually kept goats as pets as opposed to livestock. I’m so happy to be in good company!

Secondly, I noticed that there is a big gap in knowledge, even for those who've been keeping goats for 2 or even 3 times longer than me! I’m sure that this is because most of the information in book, online and in forums is aimed at farmers and hobbyists. It’s certainly been a challenge learning what actually applies to pet goats — and what doesn’t! That’s what inspired me to create this site: to share what I’ve learned, clear up confusion, and help others give their goats the best possible life as beloved companions.
